How Long Does Short-Term Care at Southern Hills?
The goal of short-term care is to get back home as soon as possible while keeping safety and wellbeing in mind. Everyone heals differently, and the length of stay typically depends on the treatment and medical complexity.
Each Southern Hills short-term rehab patient has an individualized care plan that includes meetings with a medical doctor, nurse practitioner, director of nursing, MDS coordinator, social services, and rehab therapists. Individual plans may range from one week to eight weeks or more depending on progress.
